Importing to Godot
Recommended Format
GLB is the recommended format for Godot 4.x. It has excellent native support with materials and colors preserved.
Import Steps

Export from PolyMedium
Download your asset as GLB format

Add to Project
Copy the .glb file into your Godot project folder

Automatic Import
Godot will automatically import and convert the GLB

Instance in Scene
Drag from FileSystem dock or use "Instance Child Scene"
Import Settings
Select the imported .glb in the FileSystem dock, then check the Import tab:
- • Root Type: Set to desired node type (Node3D, RigidBody3D, etc.)
- • Meshes → Ensure Tangents: Enable for normal mapping
- • Animation → Import: Disable if no animations needed
Troubleshooting
- • Textures not showing: Check the Import tab extracted the embedded PBR maps into a StandardMaterial3D
- • Too small/large: Adjust scale in scene or reimport settings
- • Can't edit mesh: Right-click → Make Local to allow modifications
